I was heading out to Africa for a documentary film shoot and needed a lot of filters, so I picked this up. This isn't your super fine multicoated filters but they do add a lot to your images. The whole kit was worth the Variable ND alone, it's a smooth mechanism and helps define your image and color very well. My favorites are the Variable ND, the Warming, and the whole close up kit is a fun addition that gets you some pretty cool shots. I tried the FLD and you have to color balance it out even in fluorescent lighting, I don't think I'd ever use it on a professional shoot. And the soft focus works well if you're in the perfect lighting, otherwise it just muddies up your pictures.
Otherwise it was a great kit, and considering it was only $90 for all of these filters I was really impressed. It comes with 3 filter wallets that hold 4 filters each, which was a nice addition.
